Over 7,000,000 Hong Kong citizens about to see their civil liberties and freedom of expression snuffed out. We need to act.

China that has killed 10,000 youth in cold blood in Tiananmen Square protest, has put hundreds of thousands of Muslims in indoctrination camps. The peaceful Buddhist country of Tibet was invaded by Communists China in 1949. Since that time, over 1.2 million out of 6 Tibetans have been killed, over 6000 monasteries have been destroyed, and thousands of Tibetans have been imprisoned. China killed over 380k innocent civilians worldwide by spreading the Chinese Corona virus. Ironically, that China today gave sermons to the Oldest Democracy. Protesters in Hong Kong demanding Daniel Andrews MP to “tell his CCP friends to get out of Hong Kong”. It should be noted that Australia last week joined the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada in scolding China for new laws aimed at cracking down on protesters in Hong Kong. However Daniel Andres came under heavy criticism over the deal he signed with China over China’s controversial belt and road initiative.

The barley tariffs were introduced last month as diplomatic tensions between Canberra and Beijing soared, after Australia pushed for an inquiry into the origins of Chinese Corona virus.

Mr Andrews maintains Victoria’s belt and road deal, along with many others the state has with China, is “all about jobs”.

Chinese companies which have been investing in Victorian projects such as the Metro Tunnel have been employing tens of thousands of local workers, he said.

US to block Chinese flights to US

US Government said that it would block Chinese passenger airlines from flying into or out of the United States starting on June 16 in response to Beijing refusing to allow US air carriers to resume flights to the country amid the Chinese Corona virus pandemic, with the department now putting pressure back on China.

“Our overriding goal is not the perpetuation of this situation, but rather an improved environment wherein the carriers of both parties will be able to exercise fully their bilateral rights,” the Transportation Department’s order on Wednesday read. “Should the [Chinese aviation authority] adjust its policies to bring about the necessary improved situation for US carriers, the Department is fully prepared to revisit the action it has announced in this order.”

The Transportation Department restrictions will take effect June 16 but could be enacted earlier if President Donald Trump decides to do so.

By US Congressman Ted Yoho said:

The timing of this national security legislation is not a coincidence. President Xi Jinping is relying on the international community’s focus on recovering from the economic and public health consequences of COVID-19 to distract from developments in Hong Kong. He is gambling that many countries are not willing to risk Chinese investment and trade by standing up for the island territory. The US Government must unite with our international partners, including the United Kingdom, European Union, members of the G7, and NATO, to prove him wrong.

We have already witnessed the oppression of over a million Uighurs and other ethnic minorities imprisoned in concentration camps in Xinjiang. We have seen China’s campaign of extortion over its neighbors through a mixture of intimidation and debt trap diplomacy. We continue to witness threatening rhetoric and military moves made towards Taiwan. Failing to stand with the people of Hong Kong now would betray decades of promises and commitments made by nations everywhere and herald the fall of a new iron curtain.

UK Citizenship to People in Hong Kong

Foreign minister Dominic Raab said on Thursday that if Beijing went ahead, Britain would extend the rights of 350,000 ‘British National Overseas’ passport holders.

On Friday the interior ministry said that this policy would apply to all BNOs currently in Hong Kong – a much larger group of around 2.9 million people according to British government figures.

“If China imposes this law, we will explore options to allow British Nationals Overseas to apply for leave to stay in the UK, including a path to citizenship,” Home Secretary Priti Patel said in a statement.

Of the $2.4 billion in underlying pretax profits made by the bank in Greater China and North Asia last year, 61% came from Hong Kong; a further 14% came from China.
