Pakistani Army continues its Genocide in Balochistan during the month of September and October 2019. We presented to you the earlier Human rights abuse report on August in our previous article Pakistani Army Continues Barbarism In Balochistan: Killing Baloch Point Blank and we mentioned that we will try to post the Human Right Abuse Report from Balochistan every month. Here is the Human Rights Report for the month of September and October 2019 for our readers.
You will read in this report how Pakistan Army continues to disappear Baloch civilians whoever raise a voice against the state. As per a local who spoke with us on the condition of anonymity said, “We feel disappointed at the functioning of the UN Human Rights and all the other Human Rights organizations around the world. We also are disappointed at the state of International Media. Pakistan is diverting the world attention towards Indian Kashmir so that its armed forces can continue to slaughter us civilians, loot our houses. Why is the world attention focused only on Palestine and Syria. Are we Baloch People not Human Beings? Are we not Muslims? Why is the International Media Focused on Non-Islamic Nations only and not highlighting the Atrocities on Baloch Muslims by Islamic Nation Pakistan?”
He further said, “Pakistan Army has opened a department by the name of ISPR and its DGISPR is controlling the Media and Social Media division. We have not seen any foreign or even local journalists in entire Balochistan to cover the news of Genocide committed by Pakistan Army. Will we ever get the attention of the International Media or will Pakistan buy all the International Media and will continue to crush our voices?”
He further continued, “We need UN Human Rights organization to send their delegation to Balochistan and speak to locals in the rural areas and take a stock of our miserable lives that we have to spend in fear. We do not have Internet access in large parts of Balochistan so the videos and evidences of Pakistan Atrocities cannot be uploaded. All our social media accounts are monitored by Pakistan Intelligence and if anyone tries to raise their voice, their IP address are traced and the person is tortured to death.”
Pakistani barbarism: Human Rights Abuse Report for September 2019
We received the Monthly report for September 2019 about the Catastrophic Human Rights abuses by Pakistan Army in Balochistan. This report was published on Baloch National Movement (BNM) website on 06-October-2019. BNM is a Baloch nationalist political organization.
Baloch National Movement’s Central Information Secretary Dil Murad Baloch issued the documentary report for the month of August, saying that the Pakistani security forces conducted 50 military operations in occupied Balochistan in September. In September 42 people were enforced disappeared. In the same month, 35 dead bodies were found, among them, 8 dead bodies were beyond recognition, those were handed over to Edhi Foundation and later on buried; whereas the cause of the other 14 deaths could not be confirmed. Another 3 people embraced martyrdom during torture in the captivity of the security forces, while 1 person succumbed to death from his torture injuries in Agha Khan Hospital Karachi after being released from the dungeons of the Pakistan Army. Another 4 people were killed by fake encounters in police firing, among them, 1 was killed by Gwadar police and the rest of 3 were killed by Sindh police in Karachi. And 4 people were killed by state-sponsored death squads. Among them, one was a member of the Baloch National Movement. 24 people were released from the torture cells of security forces of Pakistan; among them, 3 people had been abducted in 2018; 2 were in 2017 and 18 people were enforced disappeared by security forces in 2019. Security forces also looted more than 200 houses during these military operations.
Dil Murad Baloch said, “Zafeer Baloch, a zonal leader of Baloch National Movement was abducted by security forces during a military operation in Awaran. Later on, he was shifted to the army camp, where he was brutally tortured. As a result of brutal torture, he embraced martyrdom; whereas his dead body was handed over at the local hospital. In District Kech, Bibi Mamal the sister of Dad Dost son of Haji Waheed breathed her last breathes in the futile hope seeing her brother again, who was forcibly disappeared previously.”
The Information Secretary of Baloch National Movement Dil Murad Baloch commended the courage of Hani Baloch for exposing the brutalities of Pakistan Army and intelligence agencies. Hani had herself been a victim of enforced disappearances by the Pakistani intelligence agency. Hani Gul was subjected to enforced disappearance along with her fiancé Mohammad Naseem. After three months of continuous physical and mental torture, she was released by the Intelligence agency, but her fiancé Mohammad Naseem is still in the custody of Intelligence agencies, and his whereabouts are still unknown.
Dil Murad Baloch said, “Pakistani army has been targeting people of Jahoo and punishing them while employing the policy of collective punishment. In the ongoing week-long military operation more than 400 people were arrested and shifted into military torture cells from the villages of Dumb, Gazzi, Sawadan, Karim Goth, Dumb Gazzi, Mullah Gazzi, Koto, Sistagaan, Mallan, Bagaadi Zeelag, and Baag. Reports of them being brutally tortured in the military torture cells are coming out from several people who have been released after this inhuman torture. The army has imposed a total curfew in the area and no one is allowed to get out of the area, not even to access medical treatment for those who have sustained injuries during their detention; the majority of the released people’s health conditions is also very critical.”
He also stated, “The brutality and oppression are continued in the width and breadth of Balochistan. People are still being extrajudicially killed. Edhi Foundation buried 4 dead bodies without identification in September. A graveyard is built in Tera Mill, Dasht, where dead bodies are buried without identification by the Edhi Foundation. The burying of dead bodies without identification in this modern world verifies that these are the dead bodies of Baloch who are abducted by Pakistani security forces in the last decade. When a few human rights organizations took notice of the policy of enforced disappearances and abduction or “Kill and Dump”, as a result of this, Pakistan adopted a new policy of fake encounters. Now the new government has raised a graveyard in the name of unidentified people.
Dil Murad Baloch said, “Brutal military operations are going in the areas of Jahoo, Mashkey, Awaran, Kech, Dasht, Kharan, Panjgur, Parom, Washuk and Kalat. The life of Baloch people is safe nowhere in Pakistan. Military and Intelligence agencies have got the license to kill anyone belonging to the Baloch nation which is mounting to a genocidal level. International Laws, rules and regulations and human values are non-existential in Balochistan.”
He further added,” On one hand, military and its institutions, and on the other hand are their partner death squads organized like Al Shams and Al Badr of Bangladesh. These bands of death squads are mainly assigned the task to target the Pro-freedom political workers. They in accomplice with the army are involved in several organized criminal activities like theft, robbery, international drug trade, and extortion.”
Dil Murad Baloch said that the Baloch nation is going through the worst phase of history. Baloch’s genocide is continued unabatedly. Against the all odd, Baloch national struggle did not let Balochistan be a war-booty and resisted every move of the enemy, forcing Pakistan Army to establish its occupation in Balochistan through inhuman brutalities. It is one of the reasons that with every passing day, the brutalities of the enemy and its war ambitions are increasing. On the contrary, the Baloch national resistance and determination getting occupation are getting stronger with sheer commitment to liberate Balochistan from the evil hands of Pakistan.
The central information secretary of the Baloch National Movement made it clear that a humanitarian crisis has evolved in Balochistan due to the brutalities and barbarities of Pakistan, which should pave the way for international intervention because Pakistan and its army are ruthlessly butchering Baloch nation. And so forth the existence of Pakistan is a symbol of instability in the region because its existence is yoked with terrorism. If the world bodies further delay in intervening in Balochistan, the entire world will surely drift into a historical crisis.
Pakistani army continues its barbarism in Balochistan: Human Rights Abuse Report for October 2019
On 6-November-2019, Baloch National Movement Central Information Secretary Dil Murad Baloch issued the monthly report of October 2019 in which he stated that the atrocities and operations of Pakistani forces are continuously being carried out in occupied Balochistan. The state-sponsored death squads are inflicting atrocities under the umbrella of the Pakistan army. The situation of Balochistan is in the worst condition and the Baloch nation is looking towards the international community for help.
The report states that the Pakistani army conducted 28 military operations in the month of October; 30 people were enforced disappeared. 24 dead bodies were discovered in this month. 7 of them were killed by security forces and 1 person was killed by the death squads. 2 elderly persons and 2 women were killed in Ormara. The women were killed in front of their children, whereas the 2 elderly men were shifted into the military camps, where they were tortured to death. Later, their dead bodies were dumped in Ormara. 1 person was killed by security forces who was previously released from the torture cells. The exact causes of the death of the other 16 people remained unknown. The security forces also looted more than 100 houses during military operations in different areas of Balochistan.
Some 17 people were released from the torture cells of security forces. Among them one person was abducted in 2015, two persons were missing from 2016, three more people had gone missing in 2017, one was missing from 2018 and the other ten persons were whisked away in 2019 by the security forces.
The Information Secretary of Baloch National Movement also mentioned the scandal of the University of Balochistan where university authorities in league with the Frontier Corps (FC) installed surveillance and hidden cameras and recorded candid videos of students to blackmail them. It was a well-organized plan by the government’s authorities. These videos were used to blackmail hundreds of Baloch female students. We covered it in details in our previous article University Of Balochistan Scandal: Secret Cameras In Women Washrooms
Khalil Baloch, the Chairman of Baloch National Movement has already expressed his worries about this incident, saying that it was an attack on our national dignity and honor which wounded our collective soul. Baloch nation will remember this for centuries to come and will take historical revenge for it from the state of Pakistan.
The Information Secretary of BMN stated that in October, Panjgur, Awaran, and few other areas were under the constant attack of Pakistani security forces. Pakistan has turned Balochistan into an altar. Due to these atrocities of Pakistani security forces a humanitarian crisis has evolved in Balochistan.
He states that a few months ago the video of an elderly person Hassan son of Shay Sheru of Rach, Ormara turned viral on the internet. In that video, the man can be seen complaining about the death squads of Pakistan army which have turned life unbearable and he appeals for help. As a result of this viral video Pakistani army abducted Hassan Sheru and another old man Lal Mohammad Razai and killed them. The forces took them to the Army camp where they were inhumanly tortured and killed. Among the dead women, one was also pregnant and the other had a three-month-old baby. Despite this tragic event, no one raised voice to condemn this hapless incident. This event is not a single event. It reflects the entire picture of Balochistan and the humanitarian situation over there.
Dil Murad Baloch stated that the incident of the University of Balochistan, the tragedy of Ormara, the long-standing naked military aggression across Balochistan are sufficient to prove that Pakistan has crossed all limits of atrocities disgracing national and committing genocide of Baloch Nation. To maintain its hegemonic control on Balochistan, Pakistan keeps on increasing the frequency and intensity of such incidents. But the historical facts tell otherwise, that the nations cannot be defeated and held slaves forever. Baloch nation is ready to give sacrifices in all shapes and forms. Similarly, these atrocities of Pakistan will further motivate the Baloch nation to gain their national freedom by setting a new example of sacrifices.
He added that the silence of the international community is enough to teach us that the Baloch nation has to single-handedly fight their war and get freedom by the sheer dent of their abilities.
He further added, “We have no complaint against Pakistani civil society and human rights organizations but the silence of international bodies and humanitarian organizations raises several questions. They have been tight-lipped on the humanitarian crisis in Balochistan and had refused to condemn the atrocities, due to which Pakistan has been exacerbating its war crimes in the widths and breadths of Balochistan.”
The Information Secretary of Baloch National Movement says that BNM has been publishing and making public the documented reports and bringing them before the international organizations, but to date, no cemented action has been taken against Pakistani atrocities. The time is ripe that the United Nations and International Human rights organizations should send their fact-finding mission in Balochistan to analysis the ground realities.
To commemorate the sacrifice made by Baloch people who sacrificed their lives to get the Freedom, they celebrated 13-November as the Martyre’s day. We have posted several screenshots of the tweets with hashtag #13NovBalochMartyrsDay
