As per the sources, Indian Ambassador was summoned by the Chinese Government. The reports indicate India recovered some Chinese bodies and there is a marked increase in air activity to take the dead back to China. The western command spokesperson Zhang SHuili, admitted there were fierce physical conflict between the two sides, resulting in casualties. Sources indicate, it was an ambush planned by the Chinese and at least 50-60 Chinese soldiers were killed along with the Commanding Officer by the surprised Indian Soldiers who slowly gained upper hand on the night of Monday 15-June 2020.

American intelligence believes minimum 35 Chinese troops have died, including one senior officer, a source familiar with that assessment said.

According to the U.S. assessment, the Chinese government considers the casualties among their troops as a humiliation for its armed forces and has not confirmed the numbers for fear of emboldening other adversaries, the source says.

As we mentioned in our previous article Violent Face-off Between Chinese PLA and Indian Soldiers: Several Feared Dead and Injured, Chinese authorities have denied to accept the number of casualties as it can create strong opposition against the Xi Jinping lead CCP faction after their failure to contain the spread of Chinese Corona virus in Beijing and other cities. By spreading Chinese Wuhan Corona virus around the globe killing 435K innocent civilians worldwide by its Bio-Terrorism, China is aggressively trying to invade the territories from its neighbors.

As per a source telling about the Chinese Casualty figures, “Our radio and other intercepts indicate there were 43 casualties in the PLA ranks, which included both the dead and seriously injured. The situation is fluid on the ground.” The numbers may rise with time due to the harsh and punishing terrain.

On the other hand, while Chinese Government is trying to hide the losses, Chinese Wu-Mao, the 50 Cent Paid Troll Army, the Pink Army of Trolls of the Chinese CCP in Online forums are baying for Indian blood, pushing China into a fix.

What really happened?

On Tuesday, China blamed India for provoking the clash, a charge India vehemently rejected, saying the violence occurred as Chinese troops refused to honor the de-escalation plan.

Sources said the skirmish by Chinese soldiers, who after initially pulling back a little, came back to erect a “temporary post” near “Patrolling Point 14 (PP-14)” on the Indian side of the Galwan region along the LAC on Monday 15-June 2020 morning.

The PLA soldiers suddenly ambushed the small contingent of Indian troops led by Colonel B Santosh Babu after they were challenged for flouting the phased disengagement agreement thrashed out byt he rival commanders on the ground.

In the ensuing “free-for-all” brawl that began in the evening and went on till around midnight, rival soldiers attacked and chased each other, with many falling into the Galwan river in the area located at an altitude of over 14,500-feet with steep ravines and gorges.

Colonel Babu, the commanding Officer of 16 Bihar regiment who had led the disengagement talks with his Chinese counterpart in the area, and two other soldiers, Havaldar K Palani and Sepoy Kundan Kumar Ojha, died on the spot.

As per sources though the face-off on the north bank of Pangong Tso remained deadlocked, the phased disengagement in Galwan and Hot Springs had been agreed to in several rounds of talks including the one held between 14 Corps Commander Lt-General Harinder Singh and South Xinjiang Military District Chief Major General Liu Lin on June 6.

Col Babu and his team were stationed at PP-14, one of the three face-off sites in the Galwan Valley and Gogra-Hot Springs area, to monitor the pull-back of PLA troops around 5-km eastwards to their “Post-1” within their own held territory.

Additional Indian troops rushed forward after they saw their commanding officer fall to the ground on being attacked, while the PLA also brought in more reinforcements for what proved to be extended skirmish.

The PLA further upped the ante on Tuesday morning accusing Indian troops of violating its “border lines” and claiming the “sovereignty” over the entire Galwan valley region, which India had considered its territory and largely settled for the last several years.

Liar China Bullies India and blames India of Arrogance.

A Liar Imperialist Bully China blamed India for the violent LAC scuffle saying Indian troops crossed the border twice illegally and launched “provocative attacks”. The China Foreign ministry said it lodged a strong protest and “solemn representation” asking India to “Strictly” restrain its front line troops and not make any “unilateral movement”.

It should be noted that Imperialist Liar China bully all its neighbors and treats all their territories its own as a part of Greater China. China has invaded Tibet, China is planning to invade Taiwan, China is in the process of occupying Hong Kong with force. All the neighbors of China around the South China Sea are well versed with the Chinese aggression which claims 90% of the South China Sea as its exclusive territory. In fact, this is not the first time China ambushed it’s neighbors and betrayed peace, the most prominent being the Soviets in 1967, Vietnamese in 1979 and India in 1962 and 1967. One can look at Chinese entry into Korean War in the same manner when they suddenly crossed the border and pushed the Americans back before the border got stabilized.

China’s invasion of a large part of Indian Union Territory of Ladakh, the portion known as Aksai Chin in 1962 is well known – the war that lasted till November 21 1962, when China unilaterally withdrew from Indian territories before the snow could block safe passage to its forces. Around 3,250 Indian soldiers were killed. India lost about 43,000 square kilometres of land, captured by China in Aksai Chin. It is of the size of Switzerland.

Abdulla Madumoole with twitter handle @AMadumool tweeted, “China says India is arrogant but the fact is in front of the world. China sea, Taiwan, Hongkong, US relationship, COVID handling, global dumping – take any issue , China’s arrogance is so apparent. World can foresee China back to its Mao days.”

A retired Indian diplomat said, “the Imperialist Liar China has violated every agreement between the two countries. Especially 1993 and 1996. 1993 Agreement on maintenance of peace and tranquility along the LAC says we will jointly clarify and confirm LAC. They are trying to do it unilaterally.”

LAC violence will escalate tensions substantially.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Official Statement

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an official statement over the violent face-off between Indian troops and soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in the Galwan Valley on Monday 15-June 2020 night.

It said: “India and China have been discussing, through military and diplomatic channels, the de-escalation of the situation in the border area in Eastern Ladakh. Senior commanders had a productive meeting on June 6 and agreed on a process for de-escalation which was followed by a series of meets between ground commanders to implement consensus.”

The spokesperson of the MEA also said, “While it was our expectation that this would unfold smoothly, the Chinese side departed from the consensus to respect the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galwan Valley.”

Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava further stated that a violent face-off happened “as a result of an attempt by the Chinese side to unilaterally change the status quo there (Galwan)” on the late evening and night of June 15. “Both sides suffered casualties that could have been avoided had the agreement at the higher level been scrupulously followed by the Chinese side.”

He also added, “India is very clear that all its activities are always within the Indian side of the LAC. We expect the same from the Chinese side”.

The Indian Army in a statement said: Indian and Chinese troops have disengaged at the Galwan area where they had earlier clashed on the night of 15/16 June 2020. 17 Indian troops who were critically injured in the line of duty at the stand off location and exposed to sub-zero temperatures in the high altitude terrain have succumbed to their injuries, taking the total that were killed in action to 20.

Indian Army is firmly committed to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the nation.”

Indian Army confirms 20 soldiers killed in action in the stand off

At least 20 Indian soldiers were killed during a violent clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh on Monday 15-June 2020 night, the Indian Army said on Tuesday.

The Indian Army said that the Indian soldiers and Chinese troops have disengaged at the Galwan Valley, adding that the 17 soldiers who were critically injured in the clashes, have succumbed to their injuries.

Jeff M. Smith with twitter handle @Cold_Peace_ tweeted, “Regardless of who was to blame last night, by moving artillery to the border, trying to change the status quo at Pangong Lake, China’s been aggressively testing the limits at the LAC. When you pick fights with the world’s democracies, don’t cry foul when they unite against you.

The twitter handle @AyresAlyssa tweeted, “If there is one lesson for the US to draw from this: it is that the India-China border needs to be on the US foreign policy radar screen as a front line for Chinese assertiveness. Front line. South Asia is a vital and central part of the Indo-Pacific, not a sideline.”

What Next?

The Russia-India-China (RIC) Foreign Ministers have a pre-scheduled virtual meet on June 23. Sources say EAM @DrSJaishankar will participate alongside his Chinese and Russian counterparts.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar could discuss the India China Stand-off.

As per people we spoke in India, “Business will not be as usual with China. There will be a boycott of Chinese products on large scale. We want Indian Government to declare China as an Enemy Nation and stop all imports from China.”

Another old Indian we spoke with who had seen the 1960s conflict and war with China told us, “China is repeating what they did in early 1960s. After the great Famine, Chinese CCP experienced great opposition from within China. In order to divert public attention, they started war with India. Similarly now China is accused worldwide of spreading Chinese Wuhan Corona virus worldwide and killing 435K innocent civilians worldwide. Unemployment rate is very high, Chinese exports are down because of worldwide boycott of Chinese goods, voices of democracy are gaining momentum, infighting in Chinese CCP is threatening Xi Jinping who will repeat 1961-1962 misadventure. But they should not forget, we are not the same India of 1960s. We are a NUCLEAR POWER.”

Points to Ponder

India being a Democracy, will not hide its casualty figures unlike the secretive Chinese CCP that has always hidden its casualty figures in all its history. Will the world stand united against China bullying other nations?

Will Indian Government declare China as an Enemy Nation and reject the One China Policy? Will all the imports from China be permanently banned unless China vacates Aksai Chin area of Indian Union Territory of Ladakh that China forcibly acquired during war in 1962?

Would US and NATO stand in support of India and transfer critical technologies for manufacturing critical defense manufacturing within India? Will the Private sector whole heartedly support Indian Government by manufacturing innovative arms and ammunition and bring a paradigm shift and rescue the defence manufacturing that had been under the control of red tapism?
